Job Description

This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior technology leader to join our DACH business and take a key role aligned with the Energy & Commodities practice. This role will see the successful individual advise C-level clients and lead the charge in the delivery of enterprise-scale engineering transformation that will enable best-in-class digital technology solutions for our client base. 

Your primary responsibilities will be to design, shape, and deliver enterprise-scale solutions that transform our Energy and Commodities clients into forward-thinking, customer-centric, and digitally driven businesses. As an expansive thinker who takes great pride in getting things done, you will lead technical design, planning, and delivery, drive best practices adoption, and ensure the growth of Publicis Sapient’s technology teams and talent. You will also work closely with global senior leadership to instill a long-term vision for digital and mobile technology solutions for the Energy & Commodities practice and create and inspire a future technology vision within the company and for our clients.

Qualifications

Your skills and experience

  • An outstanding track record in enterprise-scale technology transformation, technical leadership, and management of globally distributed technology teams
  • Strong consulting, presentation, and client advisory skills
  • Deep understanding of the energy, utilities and/or commodities industry sectors
  • Fluency in both German and English languages
  • Experience leading large-sized and globally distributed teams
  • Experience working in agile (SCRUM/ Kanban/ …)
  • In-depth experience in leveraging modern architectural patterns and engineering disciplines to maximize delivery velocity for enterprise and mobile solutions such as:
    • Development technologies such as Java, JavaScript (ES6/ES2015), Kotlin, Python, Go-Lang
    • DevOps tooling (CI, CD, Aggregated Logging & Metrics) for the development and deployment of enterprise-scale and mobile applications with related security considerations
    • Distributed architecture, Microservices, API design
    • Building high-performance systems
    • Cloud platforms and Cloud deployment migration
    • Quality Engineering and Shift Left paradigms (automated testing, BDD, TDD, …)
  • Experience solving complex technical problems
  • Learning Mindset
  • External presence: contributions to open source, speaking at meet-ups and conferences, authoring books, etc. are desirable
