Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering leader who is looking for significant professional growth at an organisation with an award-winning culture for creativity, client impact and openness. Your role will carry a core focus on defining architectural solutions, help structure technology and engineering teams and technically deliver large-scale digital transformation projects across a range of Retail sector clients. You will also play a key role in driving our clients’ adoption of modern architecture and trends such as Headless, Microservices, DevOps and Cloud Native technology platforms.
Along with driving best fit solutions for our clients, you will also work closely with business development leads, client partners and programme delivery managers to realise new business opportunities and help grow client accounts.
Your Impact
You will work closely with senior stakeholders to pitch, design, and deliver solutions that will transform our clients’ businesses, while also assuming the role of technical delivery lead for large scale geographically distributed engineering teams. Your key strengths will be in leading large-scale technical strategy, design, planning and delivery, driving best practices adoption, and ensuring the growth of teams and talent. You will also pride yourself in contributing thought leadership and in helping to instil a long-term vision for our Retail technology capabilities at Publicis Sapient.
Qualifications
- A strong track record in consulting organisations with proven experience of interfacing with and advising senior client stakeholders up to the C Level
- Experience in defining technology strategies for clients, with a focus on modern architectures (layered, headless, micro-services based, cloud-hosted)
- Knowledge of the commerce platforms on the market, and having worked on eCommerce projects in the past
- Understanding of key retail business areas such as:
- Online selling (web shop, mobile app, online payments, etc.)
- Marketplaces
- Product management and merchandising
- Omnichannel logistics (home delivery, click & collect, returns, etc.)
- In-store (POS systems, assisted sales, scan & go, etc.)
